| Tasa de posesión (%) | section{Results} subsection{Methods} We implemented the algorithms described in cite{ghosh2008feature} for feature selection and cite{chang2009libsvm} for classification. We used WEKA cite{hall2009weka} to implement the feature selection algorithm and LibSVM cite{chang2009libsvm} to implement the SVM classification algorithm. subsection{Experimental Setup} subsubsection{Datasets} We used the following datasets in our experiments: begin{itemize} item Dataset A - Contains 300 instances and has two classes with 150 instances each. item Dataset B - Contains 600 instances and has two classes with 300 instances each. item Dataset C - Contains 900 instances and has two classes with 450 instances each. end{itemize} The datasets were generated using Weka's GenerateInstances tool. The datasets were generated with the following properties: begin{itemize} item The first attribute was a binary class attribute. item There were five nominal attributes in each dataset with two possible values each. item The last three attributes were numeric. item The distribution of the nominal attributes was uniform for both classes. item The distribution of the numeric attributes was normal for both classes. end{itemize} In addition to the above properties we also generated datasets with the following properties: begin{itemize} item Datasets D-F - The distribution of the nominal attributes was skewed towards one class for each attribute. item Datasets G-I - The distribution of the numeric attributes was skewed towards one class for each attribute. end{itemize} For all datasets we generated four different versions with different noise levels: begin{itemize} item No noise item 5% noise item 10% noise item 20% noise end{itemize} The noise was introduced by randomly changing the class labels of some instances. For each dataset version we created training and testing sets by splitting the dataset into two parts where $80$% of the instances were used for training and $20$% for testing. To reduce variability we performed $10$ runs per dataset version. In total this resulted in $120$ runs per experiment. All experiments were performed on an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU running at $3.40$GHz. The parameters we used for feature selection were as follows: For all datasets we used $lambda = 0.001$, $epsilon = 0.001$, $s_{min} = 0$, $s_{max} = infty$ and $rho = 0$. For SVM classification we used a radial basis function kernel with $gamma = 0.5$ and $C = 1$. The algorithms were implemented using Java on Eclipse Luna running on Windows XP.
